The FWA (Florida Workers Advocates) releases its video
"Crisis - The State of Workers' Compensation in Florida"
This video NEEDS to be seen by our lawmakers.
The video contains injured workers and advocates speaking about their own lives. They illustrate the terrible results of the 2003 Workers Compensation "Reform".
If you know of anyone who still thinks that we're making a mountain out of a molehill, make sure that that s/he sees this video. Make sure YOUR legislators are aware!

2) Retain legal counsel Workers Compensation is a legal system and you should be adequately and knowledgeably represented. The carriers and employers will be represented by counsel. So should you.
If you are looking for an attorney, consider the services of a member of WILG - Workplace Injury Litigation Group. " The group acts principally to assist attorneys in advocating the rights of injured workers through education, communication, research, and information gathering." A fine organization that has done a lot of work for injured workers. Highly thought of by the Voices board.
Also consider consulting a member of Florida Workers Advocates, a group composed solely of attorneys dedicated to protecting the rights of injured workers in Florida. Workerscompensation.com and Findlaw also have lists of practicing workers comp attorneys in Florida.
Consider intrustservicesonline.com for assistance with Medicare set-asides. A fee for services agency. Posted for information purposes only - no guarantees implied.
